Club Rules and Codes of Conduct


Starting Times and Shooting Rounds
1    All rounds to be shot, including start times are published in the shooting calendar.  Members are asked to nominate for their shoot 30 minutes before commencement.
2    All late comers are to report to the Director of Shooting.
3    Only listed rounds on the Club Shooting Calendar will be shot, unless otherwise approved by Director of Shooting.
4    Regardless of what rounds are shot there will always be a Novice Shoot.
5    Records and Classifications can only be claimed on Shoots listed in the Club Shooting Calendar.

Sign the Attendance Book
1    All members, visitors and spectators must sign the attendance book before walking onto the field or commencing shooting.
2    Range Fees must be paid on Saturdays before commencement of shooting.

Conduct of Shooting
1    All archers shall be under the control of the Director of Shooting (DOS) and will shoot to the same signals irrespective of the distances being shot.
2    Shooting shall be controlled by whistle blasts:
°    One (1) move forward to line and commence shooting
°    Three (3) move to the target face, score and retrieve arrows
°    Repeated Blasts – stop shooting immediately and move back.
6    When Clout is being shot, the short range target shoot shall be controlled by a nominated Assistant Director of Shooting.
7    All un-Supervised shooting shall cease 30 minutes before the nominated time for the scheduled shoot.
8    All archers are required to assist in getting the field ready for shooting.

Conduct
1    Excessive talking, laughing and other noise must cease once the whistle has blown and shooting commenced.
2    When you have finished shooting, step back from the line, and remain quiet to allow other archers to complete their shoot.
3    Skylarking, bad language and equipment abuse shall not be tolerated from any club member, visitor or spectator. They may be asked to leave the field.
4    Do not criticise other archer’s equipment or handle their equipment without their approval.
5    Help other archers look for lost arrows so that the shoot is not unnecessarily delayed.
6    In the event of equipment failure, archers should hold their bow above their heads to attract the attention of the Director of Shooting.
7    On the field do not draw the bow other than on the shooting line and pointing at the target.
8    Neat and tidy dress is to be worn, preferably club uniform. Thongs, bare feet and singlets are not permitted.
9    Score sheets must be correctly filled in and signed, otherwise your score and record claims may be disallowed.
10  The only archers allowed to shoot on the field are Club Members, visiting archers affiliated with Archery Australia, temporary members, or other international affiliated organisations, and supervised members of courses.
11  Novice shooters should be given support and encouragement from other archers.


CLUB COMPETITION INFORMATION

Wednesday Night Handicap Shoot
•Wednesday Night handicap shoot will be conducted from 6th February 2008 to 29th  October 2008.  Scores submitted during this period shoots will be used to accumulate points to determine the overall winner for the year.

Tanah Shield
•Tanah Shield is a handicap shoot conducted on the results of the Saturday Competition between 2nd February 2008 and 25th October 2008.    The Tanah Shield Competition rules also require that an archer must submit a minimum of one score in each of the four disciplines to be eligible.  

Overall Club Champion
The Club overall Championship is calculated on a combination of an archer’s best scores shot in the club championships rounds for each of the 4 Fita disciplines for one division and bow type. (Target, Field, Indoor, Clout)

•Fita rounds may be shot on any Saturday, provided there is a minimum of two archers shooting the round.
