Essentially, archery is an individual’s sport, however specific archery activities can be used to enhance the strength of your organisation’s interpersonal skills, team identity and workplace culture. Archery encourages perseverance and tenacity, and individuals may benefit from the support of their colleagues in learning new skills, such as leadership and/or negotiating partnerships.
As most newcomers to the sport have never handled a bow or arrows, all sessions begin with instruction and demonstration of proper technique. This will enable your group to develop basic skills and knowledge of the relevant safety issues.
After this there is a range of activities where groups of individuals can “compete” with others. These are not only safe physically but are designed to encourage individuals within each group to support other group members. We are able to cater for a maximum of 24 shooting. Our minimum number is 8.
Our sessions are either half day or full day. Half day sessions can be booked for either morning or afternoon and they generally run for 3 ½ hours starting at either 8.30am or 12.30pm. Full day sessions also start at 8.30am, finishing at 4.30pm with an hour for lunch. A sausage sizzle can be arranged or you may wish to make your own arrangements.
Mount Petrie Bowmen supplies all equipment and our coaches are registered and accredited with Archery Australia. Our activities are covered by Insurance arranged by Archery Australia.
Our corporate activities can be arranged during the working week however your organisation will need to make a booking and negotiate a time frame suitable for you and the availability of coaches.
